Unmolested, completely stock Calibra 16v which looked very clean and completely rust free. It was on French plates. The common German stereotype would be that French car owners take a more “laissez-faire” approach to car ownership in general and maintenance schedules and rust prevention in particular. I try to teach my students that stereotypes are usually wrong (thankfully it’s mostly preaching to the choir), so it was nice to see another one proven wrong.

Love those cars, one of my favorite to drive in GT3, even if it kinda sucked. Such a cool look.

After all it was just a Vectra wearing a little black dress, but those looks were pretty spectacular for an affordable mass market car in the early 90s.

A classic car in its own right. Great lines.
For years there has been talk about the revival of the Calibra with even concepts coming from Vauxhall/Opel and an abundance of renders coming from automotive magazines.
